Why didn't they have that scene in "Romeo Must Die?"
Cuuuuuuuuuute. Never seen this movie before...LOL, Margaret Cho coming down off her hydraulics kills me.
@ SamI have heard every rumor in the book as to why RMD lacked kissing.
@AnkhI have heard every rumor in the book as to why RMD lacked kissing. I read somewhere that an "urban" (read: black) test audience didn't react well to the kissing scene they'd filmed, so they took it out, and we got that lame ass hug instead. I don't know if it's true though (if it is, then that's a shame). Man..we get blamed for everything, don't we?
@cinnamon,Sadly, sometimes we are the blame and it used to makes me furious. The most hostile responses The Husband and I have ever received have been from black people. Black men even have the audacity to approach me as though I'm not walking hand-in-hand with the man I love. Black women frequently insinuate he's not man enough for me. Before the birth of the twin-hellions, this used to bother me. No one can get to me now because I've got more important things on my mind. Anyway, I'm not surprised at all that urban test audiences didn't want to see Jet Li (who does nothing for me) licking Aliyah's tonsils. People here at the narrative are far more progressive than the masses whether they be black, yellow, white, green, blue, purple or fuchsia.
I read somewhere there was no kissing scene in RMD because Jet didn't want to anger his fans in China. Why can't people just grow up and mind there own business if they don't like something? Geez!
