The White Papers

While reading up on China's military and politics, I came across "The White Papers", or the Chinese government's annually published list of American human rights violations.  Their logic for doing this, I think, doesn't require much explanation.  After all, America publishes one on everybody else.

Gripping...isn't it? Though I think China went kind of easy on America. It's too succinctly and politely written.  These are just from 2001:

  2. things like this remind me of how holier-than-thou the american government can be... so quick to point out the mistakes of other while hiding their own. ugh, someone get me outta this place...

  3. "On April 7, 2001, a white police officer shot to death an unarmed black youth in Cincinnati, Ohio."

Good old Ohio. When I try to tell people how blatant the discrimination is in Ohio they react with disbelief because they think all the racism is in the south.

    Amazing...and yet surprisingly unsuprising.

  5. I really hope that when the rest of the world sees Americans acting crazy on the news (Koran burning, anyone?), that most POC here don't subscribe to that crap. I am so embarrassed by what's going on in this country right now, it's hard for me to even put it into words.

Can we look any more intolerant to the rest of the (non-white) world? It's absolutely sickening.

Honey...they know it's not "us". I'm seriously fairly certain that if all POC were to bounce out of this nation, it would get bombed, like, the very next day.
