Site Stats for the Curious

Two years ago, when we first built this blog, I used to put up our growing stats to encourage the Narrators.  They felt discouraged because about 10-20 different people on average actually comment on the site.

But check it out:

The overview.

The following stats are for this week, but here's the broader overview.  On average, we get anywhere from 1500 - 2000 views a day.

What folks are reading.

These are the top posts for the past seven days (click to enlarge).

And here's where this week's readers are from (this often fluctuates, but you get the idea).

That's the Blasian Narrative for you.  *nods*  We get around.

  2. We do all right. We've only been around 2 years and we tend to approach Blasian issues a bit differently from other sites. It took a while for us to grow on people, but I hope to grow on more folks in the years to come.

  5. Good for a fairly new blog :)

What I would like to see is the number of visitors, not really the number of views, and as a new blogger user I don't see the former, sadly. I'm still happy with the detailed stats that are available :)

Yeah France is in the top 5 ;)

    1. Blogger doesn't track the number of visitors yet, but that would be an interesting stat.

    2. I think there's a widget you can put on your sidebar to track the number of visitors. Here's a few--> http://www.superfreecounter.com/#kwd=visit_counter

    3. One of the reason's why The Blasian Narrative is such a positive experience is not just the content and discussion, but the way this blog is moderated in terms of comments. Some of these other blogs get outta pocket real quick with the bullshit. I don't understand how people allow trolls to run rampant on their sites.

      Congratulations!!!

    4. @ Ankhesen Mié: indeed!
@ Nicole: I might try one of these widgets for my blog, seems cool. And I agree that the blasian narrative is well moderated with interesting and mature discussions.

I don't even remember how I came across this site but after I did I looked for others similar and the only ones I feel safe at is this one and At The Bar. The other ones is crazy with smack talkers! Oh! I remember, it was because I was looking for an excerpt for the book Gold Mountain and found this site. After that I check this blog everyday! I wonder how other people found blasiannarrative...

    1. And that's cool. Aside for my own blogs and the blogs of my BFFs, I rarely comment myself. I merely read and then boost the signal. *shrugs* It's what works for some folks.

By the way, by the end of yesterday, we clocked in at 1,498 views for the day. Not bad for a weekend.

  13. I was a lurker for 2 years...I came upon the site when I was looking for Mika & Raizo fiction and came upon "The Asian Man Won't Stay in His Place" and I have been here ever since. I just recently began to comment. Maybe you can do a lurkers post Ankhesen, see who might pop up.
