"Really Like Them Osaka Boys"

I found this music video via Afropunk, "Osaka Boys" by Davina Robinson, and thought I'd share. I don't know what to think of the song but it is really catchy.

From her website, "Davina Robinson is an American rock & blues singer based in Osaka, Japan, has appeared in a nationwide Japanese TV commercial and occasionally appears on a local TV show".

  1. I never knew people like her existed. Oo
That being said--not feeling her at all. LOL. The song sounds ok at some parts but overall feels very garage-bandish. And I mean...did she have to wear the kimono thing? Anyway--Osaka boys are interesting though. Some great artists come out of there.

    1. Yeah...not into her either. She's cute, and the opening of video caught my attention, but then everything became really tight-budget-y and seemingly put together just for giggles.

  2. Sorry you're not that into me, but thanks for thinking I'm cute. I guess.

Just to answer Qs and make comments - yes, I did have to wear "that kimono thing". Osaka is in Japan and I wanted to give the vid as much Japanese flavor as possible.

And yes, the video was on a tight budget, since it was coming out of my own pocket. I admit it's not the greatest vid in the world, but I think it's pretty decent. And yes, my intent was actually to have some laughs in it.

    1. Thanks for stopping by. The kimono was sexy. As were the Lady of Rage afropuffs.

      Got anymore vids?

  3. Thanks for promoting my video. ;) Glad someone liked the kimono dress. I only have performance vids, no other promo vids. My YT user name is rocknrollsoulchick, if you're interested. Thanks again!

    1. Your face is perfection by the way.

That being said, we should talk some time. I'd like you interview you for the bar.

    2. Thanks. Great lighting and an inch of makeup go a long way. ;)

An interview would be great! No problem. Let me know the details.
I've linked to my website and you can send an email from there.
