'Thor: The Dark World' Movie in Theatres Nov 8th

'Thor: The Dark World' Movie hits theatres in my area on November 8, 2013. This has been a highly anticipated movie to a lot of the fans of the Thor franchise.

Honestly, I did not know the whole backstory behind Thor other than he was a God and had a hammer. With no prior experience with the comics and after watching the first 'Thor' movie, I easily became a fan.

The story line and action sequences exceeded my expectations, but I wish there were more fighting scenes like they did in the 'Man of Steel' movie. Even though they stole the action scenes in the 'Man of Steel' movie directly from the fighting scenes in Dragonball Z series. Everything came together nicely.

Have a great time at the movies and yes... Large Sprite and Large popcorn with extra butter please. :)

With that said, are you a Thor fan? or are you just watching it because Chris Hemsworth is in it? lol.

  1. If I go to watch it, it'll be due to the Almighty Power of Tom Hiddleston.

  2. Both! But I may not be able to see it because the kid wants to see The Day of the Doctor on the 25th of November and it's her birthday month so my budget may tell me no to Thor. The things I do for my child.

    2. The kid said she loved it-I was sick so her grandmother took her for her birthday-but she likes all the Marvel movies. Therefore, if you're looking for a deep analysis of the movie-nope, you're not getting it. She won't spill too much b/c she wants me to see if for myself, but she did say that the ending frustrated her because..well that would spoil the end.

    1. The first one was a total fail. The best moments belonged to Idris Elba.

Hiddleston didn't even hit my radar until Avengers - that's how worthless the first one was.

    2. Thor was every bit a filler movie. "We need to introduce this guy before Avengers rolls out. Whaddya got?" <- How I'd summarize it.

    3. >>>>> Thor 1 was okay, it could've been better if there were more action scenes that were fast paced.

  5. I didn't like the first film because once they got to earth it got boring and cheesy. I would had preferred if they stayed in Asgard. Unfortunately I will be dragged to see this film for the god children.

    1. >>>>> lol. I would have to agree with you Meanie. It seems like Asgard would have been more fun to watch.

    2. The Asgard parts were the one I kept skipping to.

    3. Ok..here is my thoughts about Thor.

I was impressed with this movie. It was way better than the first one. I went to see the 3D version of it and I thought that I wouldn't be able to see it like that because the application malfunctioned some to the point where it didn't act right . Thankfully, the corrected the problem where I was able to watch the movie on time.

One of the things I liked was how the 3D was being used in it. With the last one, I felt that it wasn't used properly on the film. Secondly, Loki..that man...I love Tom's character. he's so perfect playing him. I don't think no other guy can play that role like he can. Far as Loki. That man his so lowdown. Thor should have listened to everybody else's advice because he really can't be trusted. Just when I thought that Loki died , he pretends to be his father/King. You know there will definitely be part three to this movie.

I thought about how many people complained about Idris being in this movie, because he did very well in it. Idris is just a great actor. It doesn't matter whose movie he's in he can turn it into gold. In spite of people being mostly White in Asgard, Idris fitted right in. Had to admit , Chris is hot and he makes a good Thor.

  6. I saw the film two days ago here Korea (IMAX) and I actually really liked it.But there were some other foreigners who were really pissed. They were loud, calling the movie the worse movie experience they've had in Korea. I was surprised. A friend who was with me didn't like it either, but for me it was good. I mean the other marvels are better, but poo poo...Thor "Dark World" worked for me. I don't wanna spoil anything so, I won't detail the film for those who have not seen it yet. BUT Heimdall, Idris Elba's character got a lot of time in this one.

    1. I wonder were those guys referring to the application of IMAX being applied on the movie? Though I looked at in in 3D, I did experience a minor glitch with it. Ive also seen a movie in IMAX and was impressed with it.

    2. They said they couldn't follow the plot. I found that strange. And like you I enjoyed Loki in this one. Also, Idris Elba's character was a force that I really like seeing in this movie.
