I will agree with you about Richard Sherman. It's crazy that people want him to be silent. He plays football for Christ sake, not ice skating. Everybody know that football has smack talkers in it. Damien Wayans son thought that Sherman set Black people back 500 years with his expression.Uh no...someone needs to tell Damon that keeping Black people and other minorities silent sets us back 500 years. I didnt see anything wrong with what he said. It wasn't inappropriate, it was honest.
They just made cause he scared the wuttle white gurl! Nevermind that he is a straight A Stanford grad now pursuing a masters! Haters going to hate.
Stanford... oh wow! Don't you just love it when people judge others by their actions?Indeed those racists probably thought that he was a gang member with no sense.I just love it when White folks thinking in knowing" thugs".Far as I'm concerned they were far more classless than Richard.
YouTube Richard Sherman Going Off ( 2014 NFC championship), ESPN:Richard Sherman apologizes (January 22nd)As I said before, I really didn't see anything wrong with what Richard did. Just like Lor said, he was being" inappropriate" in front of a White woman. If it would have been Pam Oliver (Fox sports sideline reporter) nothing would have been said about it. Its funny how they classified him as unclassy. Nobody called Bob Knight as such or John McEnroe or that coach (I forget his name) from the Rutgers University basketball team who ABUSED his team.I mean ,where was the outrage... oh I forgot *sarcasm *...only White people can be overlooked for their discretions.Richard should not have apologized to them... especially those that hurled racial slurs at him....no way!He is right about one thing "thug" is a racist term to him and I see it as the same. Its just that racist White folk has put a new spin on an old word and added a Black face on it. Sure, they'll still use the N word, but they have found a new word thinking that we will overlook it. When will they learn? I don't even know why (other than money) why these POC players entertain racists like them? I wish that they would all just walk of those fields just like Kevin Prince-Boaetang did. What an unforgettable class act.
Yet another POC who shouldn't be apologizing for shit.He is right about one thing "thug" is a racist term to him and I see it as the same. Its just that racist White folk has put a new spin on an old word and added a Black face on it. Sure, they'll still use the N word, but they have found a new word thinking that we will overlook it.I love, love, love that he's brought this to the forefront.
I grew an instant respect for him after his interview. If you was doing one of those hottest men articles like we did last year ,Richard would be very high on my list. I love guys like him because he's educated but he seems very down to earth and I just love it when he doesn't let his college education get in the way of common sense..which will take him a long way.I also love the fact that he defends the people of Compton ,California. I'm quite sure when people think of it,they think ghetto, low lives, uneducated and that every part of is ghetto. I. He came from humble beginnings to be where he's now at and not to forget (at least appearance wise) haven't forgot where he came from Whether he came from a ghetto or from some ritzy part of town, not a lot of people can easily get into Stanford but he did ..another obstacle he overcame .He's a guy with a backbone (love that too) and he just told it like it was..which was the truth and though he shouldn't have apologized to those people, he still stood up them. I love guys who have backbone. My team isn't in the Superbowl but the biggest present (and perhaps revenge) that I would like for Brother.Richard to get is a Superbowl win. I'm on Seattle's side.
