*rubs temples* (yes, this is an open thread)

Y'all...I'm not optimistic. I don't think this one's gonna make it.

Thoughts?

  1. I'm hoping that this will not be an early RIP for Twisted. If this is how the season premiere is going to begin then I'll know that it will all suck.

    1. I mean, this was a 31-second preview and Lacey was in it for, what, 2?

  2. I honestly can't take any more of this show messing with my emotions, so I'm sitting it out this time. Which doesn't mean I won't be eagerly devouring recaps, if the Narrative decides to continue covering it! But if it's more #PoorJo #WhoCaresAboutheBlackGirl, and thwarted AMBW bait...count me out!

    1. Trust and believe...I'm watching the winter premiere and if I'm not impressed by the beginning, middle, and end of that episode, I'm not giving it any further attention. I've noticed that despite the additional episodes being ordered, the show itself hasn't been renewed for a second season. This is extremely telling. So whatever the new writers came up with wasn't enough to to impress the network.

God, I wish I had money and a camera crew.

    2. If you haven't already watched it don't bother. It was pretty bad. All the improvements that the fans of Lacey and Danny were asking for was basically thrown back in are face and then we were given a middle finger just so there were no misunderstanding on how the writers felt about us. At least that's how I took it.
Danny goes to Jo, not Lacey, for help she snitches on him, she continues to insert herself into things that don't involve her, Danny continues to go to Jo for help and telling her how much she means to him*rolls eyes*, and then later they bond over something so predictable it was insulting. People were calling that mess months ago. Lacey was in none of those scenes. Matter of fact Lacey seemed more like a recurring character than she did a lead. She was left completely out of everything Danny and Jo were doing.

Remember how Danny viewed Jo as a sister? Yeah. Well apparently he now feels he can't be with her because she may never be able to fully trust him, something along those lines *rolls eyes*. I won't say anything else just in cause you still want to watch.

    3. Something I forgot to mention, Avan had a few scenes that allowed him to show that he's really talented. I look forward to seeing him in other stuff. Shame it's wasted on this show, he deserves better and so does Kylie.

    4. I read where Avan is supposed to be filming a movie w/Ethan Hawke and some other actors in Canada. I wonder will it interfere with his time on Twisted? If so,good for him.A guy with his talents... and god knows his good looks don't need to be wasted like that. I'm hoping his career (as well as Kylie and Ashton )will skyrocket.

PS.wouldn't be funny if he's doing that movie for the reasons you mention?

  3. I usually never post messages on blogs, but the train wreck I witnessed Tuesday was disturbing. I'm completely over this #poor jo obsession. ABC desperately wants the fans to root for her,NEVER. He doesn't like JO,nor did him and Lacey have an obligation to tell her what they decided to do romantically. What I found most disturbing is how the writers found a way to basically make it the Danny/Jo hour with Vik's murder. #donewithtwistedmess
